Isaiah 7:1 - 7:25
We
finished the 6th Chapter of Isaiah in the last study, and God stated that He
had preserved a tenth in the world, representing His elect that are sealed
with His Truth. This should be a comfort for us today, in that this 'remnant' are able to
shed light on Gods Word, helping us to understand what it is our Father would have
us do. It is too bad that the elect have been persecuted down through history, and in many
cases, even by their own deceived brethren. However, this persecution was written of in
Gods Word, and even taught by Christ, so it is part of the sacrifice that Gods
true ones must unwontedly suffer. Now this doesn't mean to go out looking for danger, not
using common sense, and seek persecution in order to prove that you may be 'elect'. God
said He would never put more on His people than they are able to bear, and always leaving
a way of escape, but if you go looking for trouble, you will definitely find it, so we
must use the mind God gave us as guided by His Holy Spirit.
We begin Chapter 7 of the great Book of Isaiah. This Chapter is
historical and prophetical. It shows how God feels when we, as a nation, and as
individuals, rely on anything other than Him. Another parallel of the sign that God is
undefeatable, as we are also when He is with us, would be the 7th
and 8th Chapters of Judges, and the three hundred that followed Gideon against
the Midianites. Three hundred Israelites against a great host army of thousands, and these
three hundred were given the victory by Jehovah.
This Chapter 7 of Isaiah also reveals a sign to
Israel, that being the first Advent of Jesus Christ on earth. You will not find the Name
Jesus Christ here in Isaiah, as in The Gospel, but the Name 'Immanuel', which
translates from the Hebrew as 'God with us', giving His people knowledge of our
Holy Father as the role of Savior through His Son Jesus Christ. So many systems of man
confuse the idea that Jesus Christ is God, for they cannot separate their flesh
understanding from the 'spirit' of Truth. This is why Jesus would say in John 14:9 that if
you have seen the Son, you've seen The Father. Even Christ's disciples wrestled with this
idea because they believed on Jesus Christ as the Son of God, but they didn't make the
'full' connection between Him and The Father. These examples of even Christ's disciples
not understanding His full Mission until after the crucifixion are for our admonition and
learning (see Mark 9:31 - 34; Matt.16:21 - 23; Luke 18...). We now continue in this great
Book of Isaiah, and ask a word of wisdom form our Father in Christ Yeshuah Messiah's Name,
Amen.
Isa
7:1 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of
Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of
Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not
prevail against it.
In
this verse we have an example of the two different kingdoms of Israel that divided after
the death of King Solomon (see I & II Kings). This division is rarely taught, but is
an important key to understanding much of Gods Word. In this verse, the house
of Israel, being the ten northern tribes, and Ephraim being the largest tribe, joins
forces with the king of Syria to war against Jerusalem, where the house of
Judah resides. So this is Judahs brethren, the house of Israel,
taking sides against their brother Judah, with the help of the Syrians. How do you think
God feels about this, when brother turns against brother in war? Were going to find
out in this great Book of Isaiah.
Isa
7:2 And it was told the house of David, saying, "Syria is confederate
with Ephraim." And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of
the wood are moved with the wind.
Again, the house of David is Judah that resides in Jerusalem, and
they are told that their brethren, i.e., the house of Israel' is joined with a
foreign nation, that more than likely promised Ephraim all sorts of wealth for their
trouble (Ephraim being put for the largest of the ten tribes, and also at times referred
to as Samaria, as in 1 Kings 16:24). So this is a civil war, brother against brother and
this is why the house of David is tormented as trees shaking in the wind.
Isa
7:3 Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, "Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou,
and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the
fuller's field;
The
translation for the name Shearjashub, Isaiahs son, is a remnant
shall return. Since the main subject thus far is how the house of
Israel has separated itself from Judah and God, they are the remnant referred to in
this verse. The pool in the highway... is a place where laundry was
done, with fullers soap.
Isa
7:4 And say unto him, 'Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be
fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin
with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
God
is telling Isaiah to go down to Jerusalem, and tell Ahaz, the king of Judah, that,
"your brother, the house of Israel has betrayed you, and has hired an
extra gun against you. But dont worry, these two are just a couple of smoking
sticks. Theres no fire in them."
Isa 7:5
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel
against thee, saying,
6 Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach
therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
Again, the son of Remaliah is Pekah, king of the house of Israel. Ephraim
represents the people of the house of Israel, or the ten tribes of the
northern kingdom of Israel. This king they wish to set in the midst of Jerusalem, is
Rezin, the king of Syria. Tabeal means God is good, but note that the
translation does not say which God. It could just as easily apply to Satan as the false
god, since no real name, such as Jehovah, the God of Abraham, etc. was named within the
translation of Tabeal. In contrast, Remaliah means protected by
Jehovah.
A Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon and a Smiths
Bible Dictionary are useful tools in helping to take proper names in the King James
back to the original languages. Sometimes, certain chapters in the King James Version
cannot be properly understood without translating the meaning of names. Once the meaning
of the persons name is known, the key to the message in that Chapter is revealed. I
used to get bored and would read over those names, but God put them there as part of His
instruction. Try not to skip them.
Isa
7:7 Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to
pass.
8
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin;
and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
Here is Gods answer to the cabal of Ephraim and Syria against Judah. God said that
Hes not going to allow it! Even today Damascus is the head of Syria, so no way was
Jerusalem going to be the new capital of Syria, with Ephraim as joint rulers of a combined
state of Syria and Israel (since this message of Isaiah is a blueprint for a repeating
history, how might this joining of Ephraim and Syria or the Arab Nations be applied today?
Are the western nations working with Arafat against Israel?).
Instead of this alliance of Ephraim with Syria, God
promised that Ephraim, or the house of Israel, 65 years later, which
at the time of this verse, being around 631 B.C., would no longer be together as a people.
In other words, the house of Israel would no longer exist as a
kingdom in the land of Israel. That did happen around 567 B.C. as recorded in II Kings 17.
All of Ephraim, representing the ten northern tribes of Israel, were carried out of the
land of Israel captive by Assyria.
It is not recorded in Gods Word that Ephraim returned to the land
of Israel. It is safe to assume that some did stay with Judah, moving to Jerusalem, but
the majority of the ten tribes were removed from the promised land. Dont confuse
this with the removing of the house of Judah in the Babylonian
captivity. The Assyrian captivity is not the Babylonian captivity of Judah.. This Ephraim,
or ten tribes, would leave the Assyrian captivity, travel over the Caucasus
Mountains, become known as Caucasians, and spread out across Europe and the Americas,
forming the modern Christian nations of today. Ephraim has lost its identity, but
God has not lost them. He knows exactly where He scattered them (see Hosea). This is not
the Jewish Diaspora, or dispersion, for that applied to Judah only. Those of
the northern ten tribes, Ephraim being the largest, are not Jewish. The majority of the
people in the modern nation of Israel today, are made up of foreigners, i.e.,
non-Israelite blood, and the tribes that returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian
captivity, are mainly of Judah, Benjamin, and Levite, although not all from those tribes
returned, as recorded in the Books of Ezra and Nehemiah. Thats a small portion of
the promise seed that God mentioned to Abraham, a father of many nations, that live in
Israel today.
For those who choose not to believe this, I ask, where did this
greater population of the twelve tribes of Israel, known as the house of
Israel or ten tribes, settle after the Assyrian captivity? God tells us what He did
to them, but not specifically where He scattered them, except among the nations, put for
the goyim, or Gentiles. I say again, there were three separate captivities of
the twelve tribes of Jacob; the first two captivities by Assyria took all of the
house of Israel, with Ephraim being the largest of those ten
tribes, captive to Assyria. The majority of those ten tribes of the house of
Israel were then dispersed among the nations, and never returned to Israel. The
third and last captivity occurred when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon took the other two
tribes of Judah and Benjamin, Levi figured with them, captive to Babylon. The return to
the promise land of Judah, Levite, and Benjamin, of about 43,000 from the Babylonian
captivity is recorded in the Books of Ezra and Nehemiah. The rest of the house of
Judah were likewise, as the house of Israel, dispersed among the nations
abroad. Heres some references for a further study of this subject: II Kings
17; Hosea; Isaiah 11:11-13; Ezekiel 37:15-32; 1 Kings 12; Jer.23:8; Isaiah 5:7;
Jer.3:18; Jer.5:15-19; Jer.31:8-10; Amos 6:1. Also see the Lost
Tribes studies.
Isa
7:9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's
son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established."
Even though this message was to Ahaz, it carries over to those lost sheep of the
house of Israel today. God is saying to Ahaz that if he doesnt believe
(understand) what He is going to do to Ephraim, then how will the house of
Judah be joined back with the house of Israel at the second Advent of
Christ? (see Ezekiel 37) For us today, God is reminding us of that split between the
twelve tribes that He caused. Without understanding this idea, or believing that it truly
happened, how will we gather back to our roots? Most of the lost tribes dont have a
clue about their heritage, and are thus confounded about many aspects of Gods Plan.
One major false teaching is that all twelve tribes now exist in the nation state of
Israel. The word established in this verse is very important. It is aman
in the Hebrew, meaning to render (or be) firm or faithful, to trust or believe,
morally to be true or certain. This word established is
only used in Gods Word to mean ordaining with faith, as applied to His People, such
as the ordaining of a prophet by God, the ordaining of a king, or kingdom, or a covenant
promise, etc., thus always dealing with Gods Righteousness. This verse contains the
figure of speech called Paronomasia, meaning "the repetition of
words in sound, but not necessarily in sense." This figure of speech is given for
emphasis by God. When that Figure occurs, it means to listen up.
Isa 7:10
Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11
"Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height
above."
12
But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD."
God
is telling Ahaz, the king of Judah, to ask a sign concerning either heaven (height
above), or hell (the depth), but Ahaz reasons out of fear of the Lord, which is
showing respect.
Isa
7:13 And he said, "Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small
thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
And he said..., is put for God speaking through Isaiah to Ahaz. This
little Ahaz, king of Judah knew better than to worry God. Its not good to mess with
our Father; we might get by with it a little while dealing with people, but not with The
LORD.
Isa 7:14
Therefore the LORD Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is this Immanuel. The word Immanuel
means, with us is God, or God with us. The mere
translation of that word Immanuel reveals Jesus Christ as God on earth, in the
flesh. There is no room for lies like, "Jesus was just another prophet, like Moses,
Mohammed, etc." Pretty good sign here, that God gives Ahaz and the house of
Judah, but note what the house of Judah did with It. Many
didnt believe It. Even today, many of the house of Judah are
waiting for the Messiah based on this prophecy of Isaiah. Those false ones that Israel
allowed to creep into their priesthood have taken it over since before the days of the
prophets Ezra and Nehemiah. These Kenites give those true Jews of the tribe of Judah a bad
reputation.
Moreover, even today many of those true ones of bloodline Judah
are deceived into waiting for the false Messiah, who comes first, which is the Antichrist,
or Satan claiming to be Jesus.
Have you recognized the True Christ and His first Advent
on earth? I hope so, for that is the basis of Salvation from the flesh. Can you go even
further and recognize that Jesus will return after a false king rules from the Temple of
God, in Jerusalem? Jesus represents the True King compared to earthly kings. The closest
example of an earthly king that could compare to Christ is King David, and you must
remember that David was not perfect as was and is Immanuel. Do you realize the
events that are taking place in our world today, in setting up a king over the whole
earth, by the Kenites, which are the sons of Cain? Can you further understand that this
false king over the earth will be the Antichrist, who is Satan, claiming to be Jesus
Christ returning for the second Advent, and that everyone alive will experience this false
kingdom before the return of the True Christ? God help you if you cant, for Jesus
would teach of this first tribulation, which is by Satan, in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke
21.
Isa 7:15
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and
choose the good.
16
For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that
thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
Now this is not to say that if Immanuel, or Jesus was not fed butter and
honey, He would not learn to abhor evil. God forbid, no. This is only an idiom for a
child of God being naturally able to discern evil, even at a young age. This idiom is
given here as prophecy, for this alludes to Herod who would decree many infant sons to be
killed in hopes of including the infant baby Jesus. These kings are
Pekah, the king of Israel, and Rezin, the king of Syria.
Isa
7:17 The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy
father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even
the king of Assyria.
Ephraim here represents the Ten Tribes of Israel that God scattered out of
their land as declared in 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles. This king of Assyria
was the tool that God used to scatter Ephraim. However, just because this was historical
and actually happened, this is but a type for the same events that will occur in our near
future. This king of Assyria represents Satan as the future king as well soon
discover in the 14th Chapter of Isaiah. The phrase days that have not
come refers to what Jesus taught in Matthew 24:21 about a day of tribulation
upon the earth that has never been before. The subject of that 24th Chapter of
Matthew is also about the king of Assyria as a type, or the Antichrist.
A study of history is very important for it gives you a sense of
Gods timeline of events. It also opens up prophecy for understanding. To lose sight
of history is to lose your heritage. A person that only looks forward, thinking that
everything in the past should be forgotten, can be led any old direction. An old idea can
be easily masked into a new phrase or buzz word, but with knowledge of the past, that new
twist on an old idea is revealed as an idea by any other name. One example
that comes to mind is remote viewing. Its presented as being so
scientific and modern, yet it is nothing but an old idea under new phrases that fit our
techno world. Its the same old spiritualism of séances, the Ouija board, sorcery,
and evil that has been with us since the beginning. Another name for remote
viewing, less recent and less used, since it has been uncovered by most people as
being associated with occultism, is the phrase astral projection. Both of
those practices are for essentially the same purposes, to discover hidden knowledge from
the spiritual realms, much like trying to 'preview' God's hidden Book of Life, all against
Gods Will. So it is always beneficial to step back and take a hard look at some new
thing or idea, and verify any connections with things of old. Many things today are put in
beautiful looking packages with lots of media to advertise it, but the contents inside is
what God's people are to discern. (Thus Christ's teaching of 'ye shall know them by
their fruits'. Matt.7:16).
Notice in this verse 17 of Isaiah 7 that The LORD is
the One Who is bringing this tribulation, that is, He is allowing all this to happen? Our
Father is in control of Satan also. That's the meaning of '...even the king of
Assyria'. Lucifer is not out there somewhere doing whatever he wishes (see the Book
of Job). You'll find in II Thess.2 why God is bringing this great test upon us.
We are His children and He loves His own, those who come to
Him and believe and follow Him, instead of man. We have no need of worry, for if you are
seeking The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, His blessings are with you and you are under
His 'covering'. If you are in His Grace, then claim His promises that He gives His people
and you will also have the 'victory'.
Isa
7:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss
for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee
that is in the land of Assyria.
Isa
7:19 And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys,
and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
The
fly in verse 18 is one of a stinging nature and thus
associated with the bee also in that verse. Again, even though this
is referring to Assyria and is historical, it is also a type of an event yet future to us.
These bees are the locust army of Satan written in
Revelation 9. This locust army will rest in their little hidden abodes, such as under
rocks and in crevices for secrecy. This analogy means they operate behind the scenes so to
speak. As they are here represented as thorns, we know these to be
the Kenites, i.e., the sons of Cain, the evil seed, the representatives of Satan on earth.
The word bushes means pastures, which symbolizes
all lands or nations, i.e., the whole world..
God is giving us a clue to the inner workings of the last
'world government' on earth set up by man, the 'New World Order.' This term is not a
new idea, (remember to check the fruit), for it has been slowly developing under many
other names throughout history. Woodrow Wilson used the term 'New World Order' in his
inauguration speech when he took office as President of The United States. The idea of a
'Utopian' society set up over the whole earth, one people, one government, etc. can be
traced back to Greece (or even Nimrod in Genesis). Even the 'Communist Manifesto'
of Karl Marx (I doubt it was really his idea, but from those pulling his strings), had the
goal of a 'utopia' government on earth. Since this idea of world government was the reason
for the conquering by the world's past Empires, such as Rome, Greece under Alexander the
Great, Babylon, etc., then by these examples of history, and the fact that God reveals the
establishing of a 'final' semi-successful world government by man upon this earth in His
Word (Rev.13-19), we should be aware of this 'utopian' ideal today in order to know the
signs Jesus gave us for His return. I don't want to bore you with this, but it is very
important at this day in time, for this last 'world government' is now in the final
stages. God revealed this to us specifically in the Books of Daniel and Revelation, so
it's not a subject to take lightly. If you have understood the idea of a 'false Messiah'
coming before Jesus returns, then you probably have already grasped much of what I'm
saying. I'll try a common sense approach.
Have you ever wondered why no matter how well man builds or
creates a work, such as manufactured goods, that they never last that long compared to
many simple things in God's nature? Man is always attempting to build the 'perfect'
machine, and have even wrestled with the idea of achieving perpetual motion energy.
Nevertheless, that product always deteriorates and fails. I don't know of any invention
that man has developed that didn't require regular maintenance either. Some items more
than others. Since Satan caused God to destroy the first earth age as written in Genesis
1:2, 2 Peter 3, and Jeremiah 4, in the Hebrew, this flesh age belongs to Satan upon this
earth; the idea of Death is even from Satan. With Yehovah, Who is Eternal, there is no
such thing as 'death', but He is 'everlasting' instead. To be in the flesh is to sin, and
to pass through 'death' is of Satan's nature, not God's. Hence everything man does in this
flesh age is temporary, it cannot know 'perfection' in the flesh sense. Perfection can
only belong to the spiritual (see I Cor. 15). Since Satan coveted the position of Christ
in the beginning, (see Ezekiel 28, II Thess.2, Isaiah 14), he still wishes to set up a
'perfect' utopian world, upon this earth, under his rule, and it just won't mature. Why?
Because his kingdom and attempts at 'perfection' will always fail. That is guaranteed! So
all the attempts of man to set up a perfect kingdom upon earth, is nothing more than
trying to copy God's Perfect Kingdom upon earth, which was set up before Satan rebelled,
(see Ezek.28; Isa.14:12), and that same Perfect Kingdom under God will be set up again in
the future under His Son Jesus Christ. And of course, Satan knows all this (again see
Job). Therefore, our loving and 'long-suffering' Father gave us many analogies of Satan's
failing roles to portray the True Messiah with, the 'their rock is not our Rock'
(Deut.32:31), the false 'morning star' (i.e., Lucifer in Isa.14:12, in the Hebrew), riding
a 'white horse' as the True Christ does, but with a 'bow' of clothing
which is 'cheap fabric' in the Greek, and the 'crown' is of 'twine or a wreath'
in the Greek (Rev.6:2); Satan's priests who wear 'breastplates of iron'
(Rev.9:9), verses the real crown of gold worn by Christ upon a white steed, and God's
priests who have a breastplate of kingly jewels, etc. Satan even has a 'rod'
(Isaiah 10), and a 'sword' (Rev.6:8), just as Christ has a 'rod of correction' (Rev.19),
and a 'Sword' that cuts both ways (Rev.19). All of these symbols and analogies that our
Father gave us should confirm the message in you heart that God is going to allow this
false 'rock', false 'prince', false 'king', false 'morning star', false 'rod of
correction', false 'Messiah', to play the role of Jesus, while these false 'ministers of
righteousness' (2 Cor.11) work in the flesh. The 'spiritual Kingdom' of the True Messiah
will destroy this false kingdom of 'flesh'.
Isa
7:20 In the same day shall the LORD shave with a rasor that is hired, namely,
by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and
it shall also consume the beard.
When
youve had even the hair shaved off your feet, you know thats a pretty close
cut. Have you ever had surgery where most of your body hair was shaved off? Thats
how complete Satan is going to shave the apostate children of God. Thats
who this message is mainly to, Gods apostate children that He loves
enough to discipline. Why are they apostate? Because they have turned away
from Him and worship they know not what! A really important point to grasp in this verse
is that God is using the king of Assyria to punish His people. God controls Satan, for
that is who the Assyrian king of the future will be. God is going to show more of this
idea that He is in control, later in this Book of Isaiah.
Isa
7:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish
a young cow, and two sheep;
22
And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he
shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.
One
cow and two sheep aint much farming friend. But this one cow and two sheep will give
an abundance of milk. Remember the reference to Immanuel in verse 15 where He
would eat butter and honey? This is an analogy of the Bread of
Life, Which is Christ. These two verses mean that there will be so few of those left
following Christ and Gods Word that the remnant left among the land, even with one
cow and two sheep, are going to have plenty to eat. This refers to that famine
that God said He would bring in the latter days, not a famine for food, but for hearing
the Word of God, or Spiritual Bread (see Amos 8).
If you are trying to follow the Lord, and study His Word, instead
of traditions of men, and have spiritual eyes to see, and ears to hear, then you are among
those left that God will rain His Bread upon in these last days. God took care of those
who went historically in captivity by Babylon and Assyria, and He is promising the same
for those who love Him during this future Babylon 'New World Order' kingdom of Satan.
Butter and honey is the food of the prophet, so this is also a hint of the importance of
understanding the prophecies of Jesus in the Old Testament and New Testament. If all you
do is believe on Jesus, your faith is not proven, because anyone can just believe (and we
all must believe on Christ to be saved). The Word of God is your armour for
the times ahead, and without it, well...youre going to be shaven naked.
Isa
7:23 And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall
be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be
for briers and thorns.
24
With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall
become briers and thorns.
Again,
these briers and thorns are the children of Satan, the Kenites. These
vines are the vineyards of Israel in the spiritual and material sense. This
has already happened to a very advanced degree in our day friend. The systems of the
Kenite are controlling all the markets and governments of the world. They determine the
tax structure, money and economic systems. As Jesus would state in Matthew 23:2, "the
scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses seat:" The seat of Moses is
the seat of Law, Gods Law. This Law was to be given by the priests and the governors
of the people, and they are not following It. Instead, they have been replacing Gods
Law given through Moses and the prophets with mans traditions, putting evil for
good, and good for evil, all the while allowing the abominations of criminals to go
unbridled. Even our drug forces recruit drug users and dealers by entrapment, a legal term
for blackmail. Compromise and lets make a deal is the order of the day.
It is an abomination!
Isaiah 7:25
And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come
thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and
for the treading of lesser cattle."
Tie
this verse with the previous one about the land becoming full of 'briers' and 'thorns'.
These terms represent the evil 'seed' in The Word. God is letting His people know that
venturing out in the world during this time, without the ability of personal protection,
will be dangerous. It would be better if it was a time of peace, for digging with the
mattock, in protection. But for fear that the briers and thorns create, the
lands for cultivation to bring an abundant harvest will be trampled down by these
lesser cattle, or beast Kenites.
I hope you enjoyed this study on Isaiah. If you have ever studied
the Book of Revelation and found the symbols in It confusing, this Book of Isaiah should
be helping you to understand many of the ideas written there, and in other Books of God's
Word. As you hold on to many of these concepts learned here in Isaiah, you will find these
ideas repeated by our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ within His Gospel. Christ was reminding
us of Truth that was well written, long before His first Advent upon this earth. In seven
places in The Gospel, Jesus would ask the question, "Have ye not read?",
pointing to six different scriptures of The Old Testament. Jesus also taught all the Ten
Commandments, so by this we know that all of His Word is to be 'eaten' and 'consumed', not
just parts of It. Only by consuming God's Word in this manner, chapter by chapter and
verse by verse will His Word make your 'belly' full, becoming 'sweet as honey' to the
taste.
Well begin with Chapter 8 next time.
May you have peace in Christ
Jesus,
Dave Ramey.
