Isaiah 25:1 - 25:12
Recall that the definition of the name 'Isaiah' means 'Yah is Salvation, or Yah has
saved' (Yesha'yah; Strong's no. 3470). The subject of this Isaiah 25 Chapter
is That Salvation, as there will be direct Gospel parallels given here to our Lord Christ
claiming the Victory over Death for us, and the time of His Promised Salvation in eternal
Life and eternal peace.
We just completed a warning Chapter of how God will cause
this earth to go through a trembling again, similar to when He once before shook the earth
and heavens at Satan's rebellion (Jeremiah 4:23 and Genesis 1:2). Now... in this 25th
Chapter of Isaiah, we will continue to learn why our Father will accomplish this next
cleansing of the earth, and ultimately who He will do it for, as we ask a Word of Wisdom
from our Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus Name, Amen.
Isa
25:1 O LORD, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise
Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are
faithfulness and truth.
Our
Heavenly Father's Name is 'YaHaVeH' (YHVH) in the Hebrew Manuscripts, as that is the
Hebrew for "O LORD" in this verse. His Promised Savior
sent to die
upon the cross for the remission of our sins, is 'Immanuel' (God with us) Christ
Jesus (Isa.7; Matt.1:23; Matt.26:26-30). He is our GOD, and He has indeed done wonderful
things.
In Revelation 3:7-13, our Lord Christ gave a Message of
good report to the Church at Philadelphia. Those had not denied His Name because they kept
His Word (Rev.3:8; see also John 17). That means, those of the Church of Philadelphia kept
all of God's Word, and thus knew our LORD's Blessed Name of both Yahaveh The Father and
Immanuel Jesus Christ The Son. That relationship between The Father, The Son, and The Holy
Spirit may be a bit difficult to grasp for those who haven't really studied all of God's
Word; with some who only stay in The New Testament Word, and others who only stay in The
Old Testament Word. Understanding in both Old and New Testaments must be put together for
our LORD to reveal the "key of David" in our hearts and minds. And that's what
believers in the Church of Philadelphia were given for having kept His Word (Rev.3:7-8).
They not only believed, but also stayed in all of God's Word, for Jesus Christ is "the
same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Heb.13:8). Being given that
"key" means Satan and his host cannot shut Christ's door of Truth to you, i.e.
not being deceived. It means to be fastened upon The ROCK, our LORD and Savior.
If YHVH is 'your' GOD through His Son Jesus Christ, then
this Isaiah 25 Chapter is especially to 'you'! By recognizing our Heavenly Father's
working throughout history as written in His Word, and believing on His Promise of
Salvation through His Son, is the beginning of reverence to Him and His Holy Name. By
that, you can be certain you know what you're talking about when you say, "O
LORD, Thou art my God".
Isa
25:2 For Thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a
ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
This view of the Apocalypse of Revelation in Isaiah actually began back at the latter part
of Chapter 23, speaking of another coming destruction upon a future type of that old city
of Tyre. Tyre in the Hebrew means 'a rock' (tsor; no. 6865). That's
symbolic of Satan, i.e. the false 'rock' of Deuteronomy 32:31, as "their
rock is not as our Rock". Our 'Rock' is GOD The Father through His Son Jesus
Christ. So what is this "city" which GOD will turn into "an
heap"? It is the future Babylon harlot city of the false rock (Satan), which we
covered back in Isaiah 23 beginning at verse 15, and links with Revelation 17 & 18.
This "city" is the head and seat of the Babylon of the Book of
Revelation.
Some have thought this "city" is still
the area of ancient Babylon (modern day area of Iraq). But per Revelation 13 and 17, we
know this future Babylon is a one-world system upon all nations of the earth. It's not
difficult to see that one-world system coming together today; it's even in the last stages
of development, and no longer hidden at all. But as every 'system' has a headquarters, we
will soon discover again in Isaiah where the 'head' of that system will be, i.e.
Jerusalem.
What will happen to this "city" per our
Lord in this verse? He's going to flatten it, as our Lord Christ stated that "There
shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
(Matt.24:2). This "city" is future Jerusalem when the "another
beast" takes temporary control (Rev.13:11). Satan is going to make it his New Babylon
World Order headquarters before our Lord causes its destruction at the brightness of His
coming (2 Thess.2:8). The "strangers" through the false rock will have
taken it over, and because of that, our LORD will make it "an heap".
Christ gave a special warning to His People who live in Judea around Jerusalem at that
future time. He said to get out of Judea; head to the mountains when you see the "abomination
of desolation" sitting in the Temple in Jerusalem (Matt.24:15-18). This Isaiah
25:2 verse is 'after' the fact, i.e. after our LORD's return at His second coming, and the
"palace of strangers" is made a waste and ruin (see also Zechariah 14).
Isa 25:3
Therefore shall the strong people glorify Thee, the city of the
terrible nations shall fear Thee.
Even those haughty ones will fear our LORD at that time, as every knee will bow to Christ
Jesus as LORD (Isa.45:20-25; Rom.14:11; Phil.2:10). This phrase "the city of the
terrible nations" means the one-world order hosts who try to establish a false
Zion upon Jerusalem, with a false rock, i.e. 'a pseudo Messiah' ("false
Christs" in the Greek of Matt.24:24 and Mark 13:22). That future false rock
kingdom includes those ten kings who will serve under Satan (see Isaiah 14; Rev.17). Even
they will glorify The LORD at that time after the 'elements' of evil are burned off the
earth (2 Pet.3; Nahum 1).
This "city of the terrible nations" is
the Revelation Babylon again, which is Satan's "beast" system covering
all nations. The world leaders who advertise that system are these "strong
people". There will be a resurrection of both the "just", and
the "unjust", per Paul in Acts 24:15. Our Lord will make sure those who
refuse Him will bow the knee to The Son during His "thousand years"
reign of Rev.20. That's what Christ's Rule with "a rod of iron" will be
for, as our Lord Christ must reign, until He has put all enemies under His feet. The last
enemy to be destroyed will be 'Death', i.e. Satan himself (see 1 Corinthians 15:20-28).
Isa
25:4 For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy
in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the
terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
Our
Father through His Son is our Strength in daily living. No matter what our situation in
life, we can put our trust and faith in Him, and He will lead and guide us, 'if' we listen
to Him using common sense. He gave us His Word to help us in that, even though we all fall
short of following It at times. He even said that He would not put more on us than we are
able to handle, while always leaving a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). How then
should our 'faith' in Him be, knowing that? Regardless of our trials in this life, keeping
our trust and faith upon Him, 'knowing' that He will guide us through those trials, we can
have no doubt that we will come out of it for the better. Through experience by His Hand,
our minds and hearts will always grow and mature for the better, becoming a real spiritual
soldier for Christ. Remember the old saying, 'lead, follow, or get out of the way'? Those
mature in Christ are true leaders, with followers in Christ who believe which are learning
to lead also. Those who can't do either must remain watching and learning, so they too can
learn to mature, and eventually lead someday also.
How is our LORD "a shadow from the heat, when the
blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall"? In Matthew 7, our
Lord Christ taught that whoever hears His Word, and follows It, will be as a wise man who
built his house upon The Rock. The winds and floods cannot knock it down. The false
spirit, that spirit of 'antichrist', and the 'flood' of lies which Satan causes, is what
our Lord symbolized going against our house founded upon Him (see Isa.28:2; Isa.49).
That's His Promise, that if we build our spiritual house upon Him, i.e. The Rock, then it
will prevail against all the fiery darts from Satan and his hosts, even the "blast
of the terrible ones".
Isa
25:5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry
place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones
shall be brought low.
God
is going to bring the haughty down to the dust. The word "branch" is
Hebrew 'zamiyr', meaning triumph 'song' (Strong's no. 2158). This "noise
of strangers" when they setup their false "beast" kingdom is
going to cease. It's important to note that "strangers" here is meant
for those who refuse God through His Son, and seek the false rock instead. It's not about
Gentile peoples who accept Christ Jesus as their Savior
and stay in Him. All believers in
Christ Jesus which overcome, will be under GOD's Covering, and definitely will be singing
a true song (see Rev.15:3). Those in Christ will then have much joy and cause to sing
praises to our Father YHVH through His Son, when this act of bringing the terrible ones
down is complete.
Isa
25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all
people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow,
of wines on the lees well refined.
This is the future feast our Lord Christ spoke of to His Apostles at the Last Passover
Supper before He was crucified. It is to take place at His return:
Matt
26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of
the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.
So
where will that feast be held? It will be "in this mountain", the new
Jerusalem Which comes down out of Heaven (Rev.3:12; Zech.14). Now we know which
geographical "city" area our LORD is speaking of in this Isaiah 25
Chapter, i.e. the area of Jerusalem.
All the best "wines on the lees"
(purified wine), and fatlings of foods is of this great feast which our Lord will sit down
with His servants to enjoy, on the day of The LORD (also see Luke 12:37; Luke 13:29;
Matt.8; Rev.7).
"Well how can we sit down to a feast when we no
longer have a body of flesh when this happens?", some might wonder. Read in Genesis
18 about Abraham serving our Lord and two men in the angelic body state. Weren't we warned
not to forget to entertain (be hospitable) strangers, since some have entertained angels
unaware? (Hebrews 13:2). Our Lord Christ Jesus sat down and ate a piece of "broiled
fish, and of an honeycomb", after He had resurrected to His Glorious Body (Luke
24:36>). That was to show His disciples, and us, that a spiritual body has substance,
and can live upon this ancient earth which God created for His pleasure.
Isa
25:7 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering
cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
This "covering" (Hebrew 'lowt', meaning 'a veil'),
will be gone when our Lord returns at the second coming, on the "last trump"
per 1 Corinthians 15:52. That's when 'all' will be 'changed' into the spiritual, and all
knees will bow to Christ Jesus our True KING. Clearly, that event has not happened yet to
our day. That point is very important to mark, as the meaning of this verse goes deep, and
I want to make sure we grasp this important verse, and how It applies to this flesh time
and during the great tribulation.
Truly our Lord Jesus Christ rent (tore apart) the "veil
of the temple" from top to bottom at His death on the cross for those who would
believe on The Father through Him (Matt.27:50-51). Through His Perfect Sacrifice for one
and all time by shedding His Blood upon the cross for us, He allowed us to come to The
Father through Him, ending the need for old sacrifices of animals and atonement for sin
through a Levitical ritual priesthood. Our Lord Christ thus became our High Priest to The
Father for us, permitting believers to enter through that first veil by His Blood (Hebrews
5-10). But who are the ones which are permitted past that veil today? Only believers on
the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ are allowed through. Once one has accepted
Christ as Savior, they are required to commune with Him, i.e. Holy Communion, follow His
Commandments, and especially stay in His Word, becoming His disciples so as to not be
deceived. That is also needed in order to pass through that first veil to Him. How so?
Wherever your 'heart' is, that's where your desire will be
also. Our Lord gave many examples of searching for the right "treasure" to be in
our hearts. That "treasure" is the hope and desire for these future events of
our Lord Christ's reign in Glory, and to be with Him for that "feast" (Rev.20).
For those who maintain this hope of eternal Life and strength in Him today, staying in His
Word through prayer and doing the best they can in following That Word, then their desire
being in the right place, makes it easier to pass through that first veil. Those sincere
ones have a lot to look forward to with our Lord Christ in the future.
Sadly though, not all believers on Christ have stayed
focused upon our Lord and His Word, and are still under this "covering".
This "covering" for many is prophesied to linger on until our
Lord Jesus returns (as given here in Isaiah 25, and also Isaiah 6 & 60). It has much
to do with "eyes to see, and ears to hear" (Isa.6; Isa.28;
Matt.13:11>; Deut.29; Ezekiel 12 & 13). Our Lord gave the reasons why many keep
putting that 'veil' of the temple back up for themselves, after He tore it down for them
on the cross. The parable of the sower in Matthew 13 outlined several of the causes of
spiritual deception. If you've studied with me for long, then you already know what many
of those sower parable symbols of the "thorns", "stones",
"wayside", etc., all represent (see Isa.5). They represent the flood of
lies out of the dragon's mouth and his servants, who prophesy deceits.
The "pillows" and "kerchiefs"
of Ezekiel 13, which false prophets sew as coverings upon believers, also represent
the influence of deception away from God's Truth. Because of the lack of Bible study and a
leading into traditions of the world by Satan's "beast" system, many keep that
"covering" on, when our Lord expects His to not allow it. "Take heed
that no man deceive you", is what our Lord and His Apostles warned in many
Scriptures (Matt.24:4). In Matthew 24:11, our Lord did say that "many"
will nevertheless be deceived, because of false prophets. God's Message in Ezekiel 13
towards false prophets who prophesy deceits is still in effect today for the "house
of Israel", as they are not filling up the "gaps" of The Word to
prepare believers to make a 'stand' for Christ Jesus during the "evil
day" (Eph.6; Ezek.13:5). That 'evil day' is the tribulation time.
See if you can discover what popular theology 'tradition'
our Heavenly Father is talking about in the following verses:
Ezek
13:18 And say, 'Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women
that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to
hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My People, and will ye save the souls alive that
come unto you?
Our
Father through Isaiah used this role of a woman at times to represent the love He has for
His People (Isa.4). It applies to believers on The Father through Christ Jesus as His
"Bride" (i.e. 'chaste virgins' of 2 Cor.11; ten virgins of Matt.25, etc.). He
also used this label of a "woman" to symbolize the weak men leaders among His
People (Isa.3:12; Isa.32:9-11). Here in Ezekiel 13:18, God is asking these spiritual
leaders (symbolic "women"), who sew coverings over the head (mind) of
His People, if they can save souls. Only our Heavenly Father through His Son Christ Jesus
can save a soul from perishing. So God is actually mocking these false prophets, who hunt
souls... but for what reasons do these particular ones hunt souls?
Ezek
13:19 And will ye pollute Me among My People for handfuls of barley and
for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive
that should not live, by your lying to My People that hear your lies?
God
is giving us a bit more information on some of the causes of this "covering"
first mentioned in Isaiah 25:7. This "handfuls of barley and for pieces of
bread" means the false prophets who claim to have authority from our Heavenly
Father, when they do not, and instead teach deception of man's popular traditions. Early
in this Ezekiel 13 Chapter, God pointed out that these false prophets say, "The
LORD saith", and He did not say it, nor did God send them (Ezek.13:6).
In Revelation 9, we are given more about this 'women'
religious leader analogy. These events are happening now among many of Christ's Churches,
but the Revelation 9 event applies directly to the time when false messiah and his angels
arrive as false religious ministers, per Revelation 12:7-9 (see also 2 Cor.11 about the
false ministers of righteousness). Turn to Revelation 9:7 with me, and let's cover more
about this "women" religious leader analogy:
Rev
9:7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses
prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like
gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
These Revelation 9 verses are speaking of Satan's "locust" army which will be at
its zenith of power during the great tribulation. Our Lord used the natural symbol of a
'locust' for how they seek to destroy and devour. It is souls which they seek to devour by
religious deception. The "crowns" upon their heads aren't real gold,
but instead appear "like gold", and their faces were like men, meaning
they are men.
Rev
9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and
their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Their hair is "as the hair of women". That means they appear so sweet
and nice on the outside, "candy sweet" as some might say, but inside, they
devour souls like lions tearing at flesh. They teach "smooth things" to
believers, instead of truly preparing God's People in His Word to fill up the "gaps"
in their understanding. They are not making believers ready for a 'stand' with the
Testimony of Christ during the great tribulation.
Rev
9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates
of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of
chariots of many horses running to battle.
These "breastplates" represent the ones which the Hebrew priests wore,
ornamented with twelve jewels with each symbolic of one of the twelve tribes of Israel
(Exodus 28). But notice in that Rev.9:9 verse above that this locust army wears
breastplates of "iron". That's a fake copy, just like their fake crowns
of gold. Oh, but they certainly are prepared for spiritual battle, to deceive as many as
will.
Rev
9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings
in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
Their symbolic tails produce 'stings', which is symbolic for the sting of death
which Christ freed His believers from upon the cross ("O death, where is thy
sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" - 1 Cor.15:55). The patience of the
saints in Christ Jesus is to endure through that "five months" period
by waiting for our True Lord Jesus to return, instead of worshipping the 'antichrist'
(Rev.14).
Rev
9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the
angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but
in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
These false priests are the ministers of Satan ("Abaddon",
"Apollyon") who devise lies and deceits which easily turn into false
traditions pushed down to Church leaders, and then are thrown at many of our sisters and
brothers in Christ attending various religious 'systems' of man. Obviously, not all
who preach popular traditions outside The Word really intend to. By not putting on the
whole Armour of God in all of His Word, it's easy to get hooked into accepting false
doctrine. Because many well intending Ministers do teach the doctrine covered below, and
mainly because of ignorance in my 'opinion', it just reveals the "covering"
of the "pillows" of Ezekiel 13 upon them all the more. If a Minister is
tempted into treating his office for Christ as a business, not allowing Christ to be The
Head, then the risk of receiving that "covering" becomes greater. I can
almost guarantee then, that one of Satan's seducers will creep in to lead that Minister
right into the trap, operating just like a Judas Iscariot money grubber (a Kenite, son
of Cain; for those who didn't like my warning on the Jabez prayer
fad).
So just what is one of the most dangerous stinging
doctrines which Satan's locust army will really carry forward when they get here? -
Ezek
13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; 'Behold,
I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt
the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and
will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them
fly.
21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver My People out of
your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye
shall know that I am the LORD.
Have you recognized what this particular 'doctrinal tradition' is which our Father is
speaking of here? Let me put it this way; which popular theological tradition teaches
believers on Christ to 'fly away' to save their souls? That's the 'fly away', 'any moment'
doctrine friends. "My preacher says that there's only a small part of The Bible that
I need to know, and to just believe and I'll be saved," some might proudly say.
Further, "Well I'm not going to be here for the tribulation; Jesus is going to
'rapture' me out in secret", they might add to the pillow covering. Those might be saved after
God Himself finally tears off this "covering" of the well-sewn pillows
over their minds and eyes. But will our LORD be very pleased with them because they
listened to "smooth things" instead of getting to know His Word for
themselves? (see Isaiah 30:8 forward). I'll let you answer that, and you might want to
brush up on the "ashamed" analogy in The Word, concerning those who
wish for the rocks to fall upon them when our True Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ is
revealed, because they did not 'wait' for Him, but worshiped an imposter instead
(Rev.6:14-17: 1 John 2:28; 2 Tim.2:15; Rom.9:33; Luke 9:26; Matt.25; Zech.13:4).
Ezekiel 13 is a specific warning to the "house of
Israel", i.e. the Western Christian Nations. That's where the 'fly away'
doctrine is mostly being taught. So what about many from the "house of
Judah" which have refused Christ? What's their "pillow"? Paul
explained in 2 Corinthians 3 how Moses put a "vail" over his face for
the sake of the children of Israel who could not bear it. That also was a symbol of this
"covering", as he explained that a vail remained upon many of
Judah in the reading of The Old Testament because they refuse to accept that Christ Jesus
Messiah had come, was crucified, and resurrected as prophesied in Old Testament Scripture
(2 Cor.3:13-16). The Holy Spirit helps believers on Christ to remove that veil. Others
without, have been "blinded", and will keep this "covering"
on until our Lord returns (2 Cor.3:14; Ps.69; Rom.11).
This is the destruction of "the face of the
covering cast over all people", when God will remove the deceptions of this
flesh age along with all of its fleshy instruments.
Isa
25:8 He will swallow up death in victory;
and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of His People
shall He take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
We
should now definitely know which time this Isaiah 25 Chapter is speaking of. It is still
future to us. Paul quoted this in The New Testament per 1 Corinthians 15:52 forward,
concerning when 'all' are 'changed' at the twinkling of an eye. Our Lord Christ Jesus
defeated 'death' (i.e. Satan) upon the cross when He resurrected to The Father (Heb.2).
Christ Jesus is the "firstfruits" of that Victory for us (1
Cor.15:20-23). At Christ's second coming, this veil of flesh, and the coverings of
deception by many will be gone, the Heavenly dimension being revealed. Then everyone will
have 'eyes to see, and ears to hear' on the Day of The LORD, and without excuse.
(I surely would not want to say "sorry Sir, no excuse
LORD", on that Day when our Lord Christ returns, because of leading many of Christ's
own into Satan's lair trap of a false messiah. Somehow, I don't think I've got a problem
there. Surely if those religious leaders teaching believers to fly away to save their
souls got into The Word more for themselves, then maybe they'd feel the same way I do?)
The second part of this verse, "and the Lord GOD
will wipe away tears from off all faces", is when The Lord Jesus Christ delivers
up The Kingdom to The Father, which is also written there in 1 Corinthians 15. This
relates to the latter part of Revelation 20 forward, when Satan, hell, and the wicked are
cast into the "lake of fire", and GOD's Eternal Kingdom begins upon the earth.
Isa
25:9 And it shall be said in that day, "Lo, this is
our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this is the LORD; we have
waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."
Remember the "covering" Message we just went through, with the "pillows"
of Ezekiel 13 being linked here in Isaiah 25, warning of the 'fly away' tradition? What
does this verse mean about these who have "waited for Him" at this
point on the Day of The LORD? Recall that Christ's apostle Paul gave a warning about a
false one coming first, who will sit in the Temple of God, showing
himself that he is God
(2 Thess.2). The "falling away" (apostasia) by many believers which
Paul did warn us of is the worship of "another Jesus", i.e. 'a pseudo
Messiah' ('false Christs' in the Greek of Matt.24:24 & Mark 13:22; see 2
Corinthians 11). Will those who have the "pillows" and "coverings"
on be waiting for our True Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when that false one appears? No,
sad to say, because they would rather listen to smooth things being preached in their ears
instead of staying in God's Word; they will believe on an imposter playing the role of
'Messiah'. That means they will think our Lord Jesus is already here, when the first
supernatural one to come will not be our Lord Jesus at all. The imposter to come first
will be the antichrist himself, i.e. Satan as the "another Jesus" (2 Corinthians
11). Then our Lord Christ Jesus will come to end that false one's reign (2 Thessalonians
2). This is why it will be necessary for our LORD to "tear them from"
the outstretched arms of a false one, ripping the "pillows" of
deception away at the same time (Ezek.13:20-21). Satan will be thrown into his prison
then, and will not have any influence upon us (Rev.20:4).
Those who do not allow those pillow coverings of deception
upon themselves, who have 'kept' our Lord's Word, will say at Christ's coming, "Lo,
this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us".
Isa
25:10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and
Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
This mountain is Zion, the new Jerusalem, for that is where our Heavenly Father
said He chose to put His Name and dwell forever (Ps.132:13; Ps.2; Ps.48; Ps.76; 78; 87;
102; 110; 125; Ezek.16; Rev.21).
Moab was a son of Lot by incest (Gen.19). And Lot was
Abraham's nephew (Gen.11:26-27). This means that the people of Moab and Israel are
brethren by blood. Because Moab caused the sons of Israel to indulge in sexual ritual idol
worship, God punished them (Num.25). In Isaiah 11:14 is a prophecy for Israel's eventual
overcoming of Moab and Edom (Esau). In Joel 3 we are given a weaving of history intermixed
with events upon Jerusalem today by those who wish to destroy the name of Israel off the
earth. Joel 3:4 gives part of the alignment of the nations against Israel today, i.e. of
both the "house of Israel" (Christian Nations), and of the "house of
Judah" (primarily at Jerusalem as the Nation State of Israel today. See the Lost Tribe studies to understand this link between the two
'houses' of Israel). This near future trodding down of the militants of Moab is when our
LORD will step in to cover His Zion, and scatter those who would come up against Israel.
Isa
25:11 And He shall spread forth His hands in the midst of them, as
he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and He shall bring down their
pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall He bring down,
lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
The
main reason why Moab is mentioned at this point is because it represents believing in
false gods and following false religious leaders teaching to stray away from Christ Jesus.
Those who do such are going to be like a dunghill. That's a manure pile friends; kind of
like swimming in a manure pile. Many of the events happening in the world today with those
who push terror upon both 'houses' of Israel are going to fall into that manure pile
("dunghill"). Where do you think those who do not "wait"
for our True Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be, because they worshipped an imposter
playing messiah, and were told to rapture to the "another Jesus"?
Looking back at the previous two Chapters of Isaiah,
notice that this Apocalypse per Isaiah is another view which many today are trying to
grasp from the Book of Revelation. In just a few short Chapters here, we're given a much
condensed version of difficult Chapters in our Lord's Book of Revelation. I hope you're
glad you came here in Isaiah for this study and enjoyed our Father's Message in It.
Peace to you in Christ
Jesus,
Dave Ramey.
