Isaiah 10:11 - 10:34
In the
last Letter on Isaiah, we read at Isaiah 10:11 with the Assyrian saying, "...as
I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols." If
you'll remember back in II Kings 24-25, the king of Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar) came upon
Jerusalem around 477 B.C. and took the 'house of Judah' captive out of Jerusalem.
The 'house of Israel', i.e., northern ten tribes headed by the tribe Ephraim at Samaria,
had already been taken captive to Assyria by this Assyrian (Sargon, father of
Sennacherib) before that time (II Kings 15-18, around 609 B.C., aprox.130 years
earlier). So Isaiah 10:11 must yet have a 'double' meaning, as we continue in this
great Book of Isaiah, we ask a Word of Wisdom from our Father in Yeshua Messiah's Name,
Amen.
Isa
10:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the LORD (Jehovah
in the manuscripts) hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion
and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria,
and the glory of his high looks.
God is saying with this verse that when 'His whole work upon
mount Zion and Jerusalem' is finished, then He will punish this Assyrian. Well
when will 'His whole work' be finished? Christ Jesus has not returned yet
to gather His elect from the four winds (spiritual body), and Satan is not locked in the
'abyss' or 'pit' yet (see Rev.20). Now this is a very 'fine' point I'm trying to
make here, and I feel it's very important to grasp this. The Assyrian of history did
go up against Jerusalem, but he did not succeed in taking Judah captive as he did with the
'house of Israel', meaning the northern ten tribes. So what will happen in the
'captivity' of Jerusalem in these latter days according to God's Word? These verses in
Isaiah 10 are 'ensamples' to us today is the message which God is also giving us
here. It's going to happen again in our near future, but Satan will play the part of
the Assyrian and Nebuchadnezzar; but this time, all rolled into one. Keep these points in
mind until we reach Chapter 14 of Isaiah.
Isa
10:13 For he saith, "By the strength of my hand I have done it,
and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people,
and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
The Assyrian thinks he's in control, but not so, for our
Father Yehovah is in control. Satan will not even be able to defeat Michael and his
angels as written in Rev.20, so why even bother to fear him, that is to say, Lucifer?
His pride, beauty, and 'wisdom' corrupted his ways as written in Ezekiel 28, so
naturally Satan thinks he can actually pull off being 'a spurious messiah' of the
future. Even as Paul would teach in Romans 11, and Peter in 1 Peter 2:8, that Christ is a
'stumblingstone' to those who don't understand The Word, and thus they will be 'snared'
and 'taken' by the Antichrist playing 'a spurious messiah', because they
listen to those who 'decree unrighteous decrees' of today. It's sad, but
the majority will be deceived, but not to worry, for God is going to snatch those
deceived, who love and believe on His Son Jesus Christ, right out of the arms of this
Assyrian playing the role of a false messiah in our future. Those snared will be taught
God's Word, unhindered during God's Millennium. That will be a time of teaching with no
evil influences to sway the mind. Plant a seed of God's Word as you can, but if they don't
understand the deception, don't judge, just move on to others and don't worry too much
about them. Remember, only God's Holy Spirit can make them understand, and our
Father chooses who is to 'see'. God loves all His children who love Him, so they will
not be lost for long.
Isa
10:14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as
one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the
earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped."
Still the Assyrian talking here. He's comparing his 'flood
of lies' preyed upon God's People to the ease of gathering chicken eggs out of a nest, and
not one hen 'peeped' or chirped. He's not really saying this about those who
chose not to believe at all on Christ, for they are already in Satan's hand, by default.
We can be on God's side or the other (Satan), but not on our own.
The little 'workers of iniquity' have been given control
over the world's economic systems by our Father in order to allow this gathering of our
riches like pulling eggs out of a nest (see my Ideas Letter on the Seven
Signs). The majority are so misguided, abused, and lied to about finances that they
will go out and tab up a big loan, or credit card debt, allowing these 'workers' to steal
their very 'blessings' from God. The system of finance is so 'seemingly' difficult to
understand because of the education system's lies, but in reality, it is very easy to
comprehend, once you understand why the founding fathers of our Nation made it
Constitutional Law to give Congress power to regulate 'coin' money only, instead of paper
'fiat' money. When I had Accounting in college, I learned very quickly that the balance
sheet has to be 'toyed' with to even out. These set of rules are called Accepted
Accounting Principles or Practices. I'm not going to go into depth here, but if you're
interested, do some research on the practice in our Federal financial system, called the
'Mandrake' mechanism. It is the system responsible for 'inflation' of our dollar, and
the cause of higher prices, and higher taxation through 'fiat' paper money, i.e., the
paper dollar not backed by any gold or silver.
So in essence, don't do 'usury', meaning go in debt. I
realize today most must go into debt when buying a house, but don't get suckered into a
home equity loan just because you may want a new car, etc.
Isa
10:15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or
shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself
against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were
no wood.
This verse is God speaking through Isaiah. God is The Maker,
The 'Hewer', and He controls this 'rod'. The Assyrian is just an 'axe'
or 'rod' in God's hands. The phrase 'as if it were no wood' is in the
sense of God saying, "How can the 'staff' lift himself up, as if it was more
than just a piece of old wood?" So why fear this little ole' cherub called
Lucifer? Let Jehovah be your reverence, for He is The Father of all souls, including
Satan and his host of fallen angels. If you belong to Christ, then know that He gave us
power over all of God's enemies (Luke 10). If your trust is misplaced in man instead
of our True Father, then you're headed down a 'rocky' path; either way, your
going to get
what you deserve. So for those who want to follow the world, and all its magnificent
'imagery' and philosophy, trying to stay in the 'status quo' of popular notions, fads, and
what not, go ahead. Beat yourself up real good....then maybe you'll be persuaded to
'return' to your true Father in heaven.
Isa
10:16 Therefore shall THE Lord, the LORD of hosts, send among His fat ones
leanness; and under His glory He shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
The words 'THE Lord' is 'Adon' with the article in
Hebrew. This means 'God as The Ruler in the earth'.1 This 'kindle a burning
like the burning' is a figure called Paronomasia, and is in the Hebrew 'yaqad
yeqowd yeqowd', and means 'kindle...kindling...kindling'.2 This
is not talking about the popular traditional description of 'hell', but instead, of the
event of the 'consuming fire' that ends this second earth age (aion). It
won't hurt God's People who worship and do their best to follow Him, but for the workers
of iniquity, i.e., the Kenites, and those who willfully follow them, well...we'll find out
more in the next verse.
Isa
10:17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy
One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one
day;
This 'light of Israel' relates to those whose 'wick' of
their 'lamp' is filled with The True 'Oil' of Christ, The Word of God, and it burns bright
in the glory of Christ. As God is a 'consuming fire' as written in Heb.12, so will His
children bear the same spiritual properties of our Father, being 'children of light'. When
Christ returns in our near future, His children will be part of that 'Flame'. The
example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace with a fourth Man, being
Christ Jesus, also relates to this event here in this verse (see Daniel 3:25).
These 'thorns and his briers' refer to the Kenites, or
the offspring of Satan through Cain, who was the first murderer (see my Genesis Letters;
Matt.13; John 8, especially John 8:44; I Chron.2:55; Numbers 24). They are the true
'workers of iniquity', after their father the devil, even as our Lord Jesus would teach in
John 8. Remember the story of the 'bramble' or thorn bush in Judges 9? These
are all references to that evil 'seed' which fulfills the negative side of God's Plan.
They are the Caprice tree, the 'evil figs' of Jer.24, etc. If you've been
studying with me, you should already have many references in your mind from The Word about
these workers. And all of this will happen in 'one day', again I say, 'in
that day', The Lord's Day, upon Christ's return. This idea was also mentioned back at
Isaiah 5:24 & 9:18 (also see Jer.21; Ezek.20).
Isa
10:18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful
field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.
This verse points to Rev.19, with the 'false prophet' who is
Satan and his 'beast' one world government system cast into the 'pit'. It also
alludes to the final destruction of Satan and his host in the 'lake of fire' at the end of
this earth age, after the thousand year Millennium of Christ's reign upon this earth.
Isa
10:19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may
write them.
This message from the last verse continues. These 'rest
of the trees' means those left, who are not cut down by our Father, will be few.
(This verse has more than one meaning in my opinion. It
can apply to the elect who will not worship the false messiah, and are hence 'few' in
number compared with the majority who are deceived, and also to some of the Kenites who
turn away from their father Satan, choosing to worship Christ Jesus.)
Isa
10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant
of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay
upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
This 'remnant of Israel' and the 'house of Jacob' means all
twelve tribes, including those 'adopted' into Christ through the election of grace, who
will not be deceived dealing with the 'false rock, 'spurious messiah', 'the false
prophet', the Antichrist, Satan, and this one world 'beast' system upon the whole earth
encompassing all nations. When Christ comes, these will not suffer under this 'rod' and
'staff' of the Assyrian (Satan) any longer, as when 'all' are changed, casting off the
flesh, everyone, and I do mean everyone, will recognize The True Messiah Jesus Christ. All
knees, both the elect, those deceived, atheists, false worshipers, and of the seed of
iniquity will bow to our Lord and Savior (see Isaiah 45:22-23; Romans 14:10-12; Rev.5:13).
Isa
10:21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the
mighty GOD.
22 For though Thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet
a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow
with righteousness.
23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even
determined, in the midst of all the land."
Genesis 49:10 reveals that the elect will 'gather' to Shiloh (Christ). This 'gathering'
will be upon the earth, back to Zion, and the land which God gave to all Israel forever.
These verses in bold were quoted by Paul in Romans 9:27-28. This word 'consumption'
is from the Hebrew root 'kalah' meaning 'to complete, accomplish, etc.'
(Strong's no.3615). God's just saying that what He 'decreed', His full end, will be
consummated and be in His Glory. 'In the midst of all the land' means upon this
whole earth, for that's where the 'new heaven' will be. And Paul linked this Message here
from Isaiah as to the remnant of Israel, and of the Gentile, as given in Rev.7:3-9.
Isa
10:24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, "O My people that
dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite
thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
Do you understand now why so many of the deceived peoples
are still worried about the future, and fear this false kingdom now being set up?
Many of their leaders don't properly teach The Word's relationship between Old and New
Testaments. I've even been told of myself that I seemed to have a lot of learning in The
Word, especially The Old Testament, like I was on some Torah mission or something,
disregarding teachings in The New Testament. What ignorance of our Father's Word,
for the Whole Word, both Old and New Testaments comprise God's Word. How can someone
just study The New Testament without The Old? I don't have handy just how often, but
The New Testament quotes The Old Testament in every Book. That means they both go
together, even as Christ would say in Hebrews 10:7 that He came 'in the volume of The
Book', which by the way, was a direct quote from Psalms 40:7. As far as I'm
concerned, the lack of understanding in this matter between Old and New is due to pure
laziness in our Father's Word, and shows a lack of sincerity to our Father. Therefore, no
wonder they're still groping at false "secret rapture" doctrines, and arguing over petty useless
meanings that have nothing to do with our Father's Word. Something as serious as a 'soul'
which our Father created should be treated with a bit more care than they give it, don't
you think? This means they should be listening to Him and try finding a little more time
to devote to studying His Word.
God is giving us a 'template' to follow with this
verse. It is the template of what happened in Egypt and the Exodus, and this applies
to 'all Israel', not just the one tribe of Judah. Both 'houses' are included, so this
means the western Christian nations are also expected to use the example written of God
delivering His People out of Egypt as a 'blueprint' for our near future also. If you
haven't studied that time of Moses, I suggest you do it. Put your trust in God, as they
also did, and were delivered. Question: Did the Israelites fear Pharaoh during that time,
or God? If you said God, then don't fear this 'false messiah' of our future.
Isa
10:25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and Mine
anger in their destruction.
God's saying, "Hang on, My elect, a little while and
it'll all be over." This is also His Message to us for today! Be strong of
mind! Do your best not to allow yourself to be tempted, or swayed away from His
Truth. Keep in It, though the majority are not. This doesn't mean we have to stay away
from fellowship in a Church. I'm not teaching against God's True Church, i.e., the
Body of Christ. But nowadays, with what little of God's Word that's taught in most
Churches, you had better be busy filling in the 'gaps' on your own if needs be. And if
you're serious with our Father, asking Him for guidance, and you do get down to study, get
ready; for those who receive His deeper Truth today, He's definitely going to call on you
to use It for Him. He's going to put you to work in 'the field', and it's a privilege that
is worth more than any treasure, except Christ, especially today.
Isa
10:26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the
slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as His rod was upon the
sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
This is talking about how God through Gideon and the three
hundred slew the Midianites and Amalekites, a powerful host of many (see Judges 7).
The meaning here and for us, is spiritual, and refers to when God will pour out the 'cup
of His wrath' during this same 'consuming fire' event, at the return of our Lord and
Savior. The Seventh Vial will be 'poured' out with the symbolic Armageddon.
Isa
10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden
shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke
shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Again, 'in that day' refers to the Lord's Day,
Christ's return. The word 'Messiah' means the Anointed One. Who of course, is Christ
Jesus. We are to wear this 'yoke', working in 'the field' during
this time, as Christ makes our 'yoke' light. He suffered for us, paying a great
price for all. Those who don't have Christ to help 'lighten' their yoke, are going to be
buried asunder by a heavy weight.
Isa
10:28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up
his carriages:
This word 'Aiath' is a city east of Bethel, and
means 'heap of ruins' (Strong's no.5857, Brown-Driver & Briggs). 'Migron'
means 'precipice', an area north of Michmash (Strong's no.4051; BDB); and 'Michmash'
means 'hidden', a place ten miles north of Jerusalem (Strong's no.4363; BDB).
This verse is similar to Isaiah 10:9 with the cities on line to Jerusalem from Nineveh.
This is given in the sense of 'suspense', as an example for how Satan comes in power
toward Jerusalem.
Isa
10:29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at
Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
Isa 10:30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto
Laish, O poor Anathoth.
Drum roll please! This is like a 'countdown' with dramatic effect, letting us know the
coming in of the Assyrian. Geba is Jeba near Michmash, moving further south
towards Jerusalem. Ramah is now 'er Ram' and is five miles north of
Jerusalem; Gibeah is today's Tell el Ful and is two and a half miles north
of Jerusalem. Then we get all the way down to 'Anathoth' which is one mile from
Jerusalem, and a priest's town where Jeremiah was born (Strong's no.6068;BDB). "Watch
out! Here he (Satan) comes!" It's like our Father is using the 'Jaws' theme with
this example of the Assyrian coming. "Sound the alarm in Israel! The Assyrian's
coming, the Assyrian's coming!", so goes Paul 'Israel' Reverie's midnight ride
warning through Jerusalem, what? Hey, God's Word is never boring. All those who only read
mystery novels and fantasy fiction just don't...know...what...they're missing!
Isa 10:31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim
gather themselves to flee.
'Madmenah' means 'dunghill' in the Hebrew,
and is just north of Jerusalem. I hope you're noticing the meaning of some of these names.
Now this Assyrian is within eyesight of Jerusalem at this verse.
Isa
10:32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against
the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Here he is! He finally got there, and now he's taken
control of even God's Holy Hill, Zion! 'Nob' is another priest town in view
of Jerusalem. Did you notice just how this Assyrian comes in and from what particular
direction? He comes from the north. How does Jesus Christ return? As written
in Zech.14:4, Ezekiel 43:2, and Acts 1, Christ returns upon the Mount of Olives, which is
EAST of Jerusalem. God gives these ideas to those who are 'watchers' for our Christ so
that we would know what to expect in these latter days, why? Because He loves us and
doesn't want us to panic or be afraid. As Christ said He 'foretold' His Apostles 'all
things' in Mark 13:24, the teaching in that Chapter 13 of Mark was concerning the Seven
Seals or signs leading up to His return. This means that the Apostles of Christ were in
possession of this knowledge of unfolding The Word, letting His People know every step of
the future. Anyone claiming to be an Apostle of Christ today who can't reveal these
things, is a false deceived prophet. Furthermore, any teacher today telling you that no
one truly understands these events of Christ's return, and that we are not supposed to be
'watchers' for it, is also a false prophet, and is going contrary to The Word, which our
Father sent us through His messengers here on earth.
Isa
10:33 Behold, THE Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror:
and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be
humbled.
34 And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and
Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
Here's God's answer to this 'haughty one' Assyrian, coming
as a 'false messiah' set up by his own children, the Kenites, in God's Temple in Jerusalem
(see II Thess.2). God's 'iron' sickle will be thrust through the harvest of 'wild
grapes' at that time, which I feel is not far off. The plans from Solomon's Temple are
just about complete upon this old earth.
In
ending, allow me to reaffirm a thought in the minds of those who love our LORD. Our Father
gave us these signs and events so that we would know what to expect, not being caught off
guard. For even as Paul remarked that he had no need to worry about those who do
understand The Word, for Christ's returning 'as a thief in the night' will not be
a surprise to them, so today this Message bears for us also. But for others who are
without, the proper time of our Lord and Savior's return will catch them off guard, as an
intruder breaking into their house at 'midnight' (see I Thess.5).
Peace be unto you in Christ
Jesus,
Dave Ramey.
