Genesis 8:1 - 8:22
In the previous Genesis Chapter 7, we learned there is a parallel to the time of Noah's
flood, and for our times today. This flood of our day and time is not one of physical
water, but of lies flowing out of Satan's mouth (Rev.12:15). And as our Lord and Savior
taught His seven signs of the end time in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, those 'lies'
from Satan's false system cause deception (see also Isaiah 59:19; 8:7;
28:2 for more links to Rev.12:15 and Satan's 'flood').
We left off with Noah and his family, and two of every flesh
inside the Ark which God told him to build, and we were told in Gen.7:24 that the "waters
prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days."
Continuing with Genesis 8, we ask a Word of Wisdom from our
Heavenly Father in Christ Yashua's Name, Amen.
Gen
8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living
thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind
to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
This 'wind' which caused those waters to subside (asswaged), is 'ruwach'
in the Hebrew, and many times is translated 'breath of life' or 'Spirit of
God' (Strong's no.7307). It was also this 'ruwach' which divided the waters
for Moses and the children of Israel to pass over, coming out of Egypt.
So I hope everyone remembers their Bible school lesson
about the parting of the Red Sea (see Exodus 14). If those descendents of the founders of
the Western Christian nations will remember their origins, then God does not want them to
forget what He accomplished for His children of Israel during Moses' time. But how might
our Father mean this verse for us today, concerning the flood Satan brings? Just as God
saved His People out the hand of Egypt, being led of Moses, so likewise He is letting His
People of today know, i.e. those who love and follow Him through His Son Jesus Christ from
both Jew and Gentile, that He has not forgotten them. Is not the following example for us
today, and a link to this verse of Gen.8:1, but in the spiritual sense?
Rev
12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth,
and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
This 'woman' is a symbol for the family of Christ during the great tribulation.
Today, that family is of both Jew and Gentile believers on Christ Jesus as Savior. Many
Christians of today are being deceived by false prophecy of earthly destruction, which in
reality, is one of spiritual deception. Doesn't believing lies of a nuclear holocaust, and
destruction by meteorites over the whole earth make one want to be 'raptured'
out? Sure it would. If you've understood God's Message here about Noah's flood, as
compared to Satan's flood, does our Father say He is going to allow this earth to be
destroyed? Be thinking on it; we'll confirm from The Word that it will not be, by the end
of this Chapter.
It may sound like I overstressed this first verse of
Gen.8:1, but I don't think so. I feel that our Father wants us to remember, how He
has remembered our sufferings and trials in the past, down through the ages, and will yet
again as we stay in Him.
Gen
8:2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and
the rain from heaven was restrained;
Back to Noah's time. All those not aboard the Ark, were gone, destroyed, literally, during
the time of Noah. This included those hybrids of the fallen angels of Gen.6, and all who
had mixed with them.
Gen
8:3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the
end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of
the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
We
should note that the Ark was upon the waters of the flood for five months, or one
hundred and fifty days. Linking to Satan's flood of lies for the end time
as
'waters', the end of this 'five months', or 'an hundred and fifty days',
would signal the great tribulation completion and end (see Matt.24:22; Rev.9).
The evil was destroyed off the face of the earth (giants
and mixing), and only Noah and those with him in the Ark had protection, but had not
freedom to stroll from the Ark just yet.
This 'seventh month' in the Jewish Sacred
Calendar is Tisri, or Ethanim, which is our October. And that must be reckoned according
to God's Calendar, which is a solar Calendar, not the lunar one we use.
Gen
8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month,
on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
This 'tenth month' is Tebeth in the Hebrew Sacred Calendar, or our January.
Notice that the 'waters' continued to decrease, and finally at the tenth month, the tops
of mountains could be seen.
Gen
8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window
of the ark which he had made:
7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the
waters were dried up from off the earth.
After these 'forty days', it would be during the eleventh month when Noah opened
the window of the Ark. Again, forty means probation in Biblical numerics.
This 'raven' was one of the two unclean fowls
aboard the Ark. Lev.11 and Deut.14 includes the raven as unclean to eat. This raven will
not return back to Noah's Ark. So it must have found carcass for scavenging.
Gen
8:8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from
off the face of the ground;
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned
unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then
he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
Noah sent a dove also when he sent the raven. The dove, as written here, returned back to
the Ark. The dove is a symbol for The Holy Spirit, even descending as a dove on Christ
Jesus after He was baptized (Matt.3).
The dove is a clean fowl which may be eaten (Deut.14:11).
Thus we have two particular symbols representing two groups, one in the 'scavenger' sense
for the raven, and the other as a dove for a clean sacrificial fowl, representing The Holy
Spirit. The 'scavenger' found food aplenty, but the dove did not, and had to return to the
Ark (of God's Protection).
Gen
8:10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out
of the ark;
11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was
an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the
waters were abated from off the earth.
12 And he stayed yet other
seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
'Seven days' for spiritual perfection. This time the dove brought a leaf from an olive
tree. This olive leaf was freshly picked, as that's the meaning of 'pluckt off'
(Hebrew 'taraph'; Strong's no. 2965). The dove found dry ground, meaning the
waters had fully subsided off the earth, and new growth (olive leaf) had already been
re-established.
Gen
8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the
first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from
off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face
of the ground was dry.
14 And in the second month, on the seven and
twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
Back in Gen.7:11 we were given when the 'fountains of the great deep' were broken up,
beginning the forty days and nights of rain. It began in Noah's 'six hundredth year',
'in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month', making the total
time of the flood, along with the departing of the waters, one solar year, plus 'ten'
days.
The time of five months the Ark was upon the 'waters',
plus the seven months following until Noah and his family opened the Ark, equals one solar
year. The seven months represents a time of cleansing on the earth.
As these events of this flood of Noah's time also
represent the 'flood' of lies which Satan and his New Babylon World Order hosts do during
a 'five month' tribulation, how may these remaining 'seven months' which Noah and his
family were in the Ark apply? Might this be the cleansing of seven months after the
battle of Gog and Hamongog as written in Ezekiel 39? God's consuming fire event causes the
destruction of Satan's army which will come upon all the house of Israel. It's written in
Ezekiel 39 that we will be burying the bones of that destruction by God's consuming fire
for seven months (Ezek.38 & 39; Dan.11; Joel 2; Isaiah 8).
Gen
8:15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
16 "Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy
sons' wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee,
of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that
creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and
multiply upon the earth."
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives
with him:
19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and
whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
With these verses, we have a new beginning during Noah's time. It's important most of all,
to understand why the destruction of this flood by our Father came about. The events from
Cain's evil offspring in false worship and acts, and the mixing of most of the family of
the 'eth'Ha'adham' (the man Adam) with fallen angels, were the causes of the sad state
upon the earth at that time. Moreover, GOD setup that family of Adam to be the bloodline
of Christ Jesus' birth (Gen.3:15). The acts by those fallen angels who left their original
habitation, and caused the offspring of a hybrid race of 'giants', was not part of God's
Plan (Jude 1). But don't hold your breath, as there was a second mixing of fallen angels
later, after this flood of Noah's time. A major purpose for Satan and his causing these
events were attempts to try and prevent Christ Jesus from being born flesh by tainting
Christ's bloodline chosen family. It didn't work, as Christ Jesus accomplished His Mission
as Savior, offering all The Way to Salvation through His blood (Col.1; Eph.1; Rom.3:25;
Rom.5; John 6:53).
Gen
8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast,
and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
This is the first mention of building an 'altar unto the LORD'. Question: How did Noah
know to do this? God's Law had not been given yet through Moses. The first description of
an animal 'offering' to The LORD was by 'righteous Abel', as written back in Genesis 4:4.
This reveals that there was some type of 'oral' traditional Law handed down through the
man Adam, and Noah was also aware of It shown by this verse of Gen.8:20.
Gen
8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart,
"I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of
man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every
thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,
and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
Our
Heavenly Father accepted Noah's offering after the flood event, as written here. But it
should be remembered that our Father truly wants our love, and not the blood of animals
(Isa.66; Isa.1:11; 1 Sam.15:22; Ps.50; 51:16; Micah 6; Jer.7). Didn't He even send us His
Only Begotten Son as The Sacrifice, to end all sacrifice forever? (Heb.10). Doesn't that
show how our Father wants our love in return for His love towards us? You bet it does!
Man's heart is 'evil' from his youth. The flesh causes us
to turn away from GOD many times, even when our spirit is trying to follow Him. And this
meaning is not to be thought in the negative sense, as if there was no hope, no..., for
Christ Jesus is our Hope. All who have a choice for eternal Life had to be born under the
sinful nature of the flesh, otherwise we would not need our Savior Christ Jesus. Thus, we
all fall short in this flesh for that reason. Those who do not seek Salvation through
Christ, but think they can do it alone, how is their hope? They have none in that sad
state. There IS a better Way for them, IF they will come to Christ in sincerity. This
means to stay away from guilt trips when our flesh causes to do little slip ups in small
sins. When we repent to Christ of our sins, it means He takes the 'load', making our yoke
lighter, so we can get back to doing our Father's work (see Romans 7). Naturally, there
are major sins, such as rape, murder, witchcraft, etc., which if committed will bring
harsh punishment, even while in the flesh, and thereafter. So I'm not speaking of those in
that category of sinners, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them
that do them." Rom.1:32, (Gal.5).
As also given in here in Gen.8:21-22, God is not going to
cause any more a flood by water to cleanse His earth. The phrase 'While the earth
remaineth' shouldn't be taken out of context either, as some do. This doesn't mean
this ancient earth is going to be destroyed by a nuclear holocaust, or any such doings by
man. God will destroy this flesh age off of His earth in the 'twinkling of an eye'
on the 'last trump' when Christ returns (I Cor.15:52). How fast is that? Much
faster than any global warming event, etc. His earth is not going anywhere, so don't
listen to all the doom and gloom messages designed to deceive those who listen to man (see
Isa.65:17, and translate the Hebrew root 'chadash' (Strong's no.2319) of the KJV
word 'new' in the phrase 'new earth'. It means 'rebuild'. Also see 2
Pet.3:13 and Rev.21:1 with 'new earth'. The word 'new' in Greek is
'kainos', as in 'freshness').
The
next Chapter will continue describing the new state of the earth after the flood of Noah's
time. We'll pick up there.
Peace be with you in Christ
Jesus,
Dave Ramey.
