Genesis 7:1 - 7:24
The
6th Chapter of Genesis is very important in helping us to understand God's real reasons
for bringing the flood of Noah's time. The state of affairs upon the earth brought forth
so much evil, against God's Original Plan of His whole creation, that something had to be
done. The attack on Christ's particular bloodline of birth would not succeed, as that was
the main reason the Nephilim (fallen ones) did mate with the family of the man
Adam.
That 6th Chapter of Genesis is also an example especially
for our times today, with all the evil which is among us today, linking to our Lord
Christ's Message about 'the days of Noe' in Matthew 24:37. Our Savior said the
latter days would be just like the days of Noah (Noe in Greek). That means all
Christians should properly understand the events of Genesis 6, as It is one of the
'anchor' Chapters in God's Word for unlocking much of the rest of His Word, including The
Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It's becoming more and more difficult to find a Church
sticking to our Father's Pure Word, as many teachers today are really watering down the
Wine of Christ, mixing in 'another doctrine' with It (1 Tim.1:3-10; 1 Tim.4:1-4). No
doubt, many of you, for the first time, have understood our Father's Truth about the
Genesis 6 events. If you go to a Church which teaches the 'full' Wine of God's Word, then
stick with that Church, for they will be blessed for not chopping off Truth to appease
weak undisciplined Christians in the congregation. I don't plan to water down The True
Wine of Christ either with any other doctrine, or system of men, so that means if you're
having problems understanding the documented Word here on this site, keep going over It
until you understand, asking our Father for guidance in Christ's Name. He will help you.
And as I don't claim to be a scholar, but only a student of God's Word, you should verify
from The Word for yourself as we go along.
We now continue with the study in Genesis, as we ask a
Word of Wisdom from our Father in Christ's Precious Name, Amen.
Gen
7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, "Come thou and all thy house into the
ark; for thee have I seen righteous before Me in this generation.
Here God is giving Noah credit for his not mixing with the offspring of the fallen angels,
as keeping apart and following God were among his most important acts of righteousness of
the time. Noah and his family at this time, were the only pure ones left on earth from the
lineage of 'eth'Ha'adham' (the Adam), who had not mixed with the fallen angels.
All of Noah's ancestry had died, except for Enoch, who 'was not', being taken out by God.
Again, this word for generation is 'dowr' in the Hebrew, meaning 'a
revolution of time, an age or generation', and it refers back to Noah's and his
family's bloodline purity in Gen.6:9 (Strong's no.1755; also see the Chapter 6 study).
Gen
7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the
male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and
his female.
In
this verse, God is commanding that Noah take seven pairs 'of every clean beast'
into the Ark, and only two 'of beasts that are not clean'. Back in Gen.6:19 God
mentioned 'two of every sort'. These 'seven', which number means
spiritual completion in Biblical numerics, refers to the sacrificial purpose of clean
beasts, in Covenant relation to our Father.
You'll find a list of clean meats to be received in
Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, along with a list of unclean meats which are not to be
eaten according to God's Law. That part of God's Law is set in nature for the best health
of our flesh body.
On a deeper note, could these also include two of every
race? As I said before, we know the various races of mankind survived this flood. You need
to decide this for yourself according to what God has given you.
Gen
7:3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed
alive upon the face of all the earth.
Seven pair of 'fowls' also. Based on the previous verse, this seven is for
Covenant sacrificial purpose. (If you have a copy of The Companion Bible, see
Appendix 4). 1
Gen
7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days
and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the
face of the earth."
This number 'forty' is used throughout God's Word to mean a probationary period.
Some examples: The children of Israel ate manna forty years in the desert; Moses was forty
days and nights upon mount Sinai; certain Israelites were forty days spying out the land
of Canaan before the they entered it; for Israel doing evil God delivered them into the
hand of the Philistines forty years; the Angel of The Lord fed Elijah in the wilderness
which sustained him forty days and forty nights; our Lord and Savior fasted forty days and
nights before He was tempted by Satan, etc. (Exod. 16:35; 24:18; 34:28; Numbers 13:25;
Judges 13:1; I Kings 19; Matthew 4).
So this forty days and forty nights of rain caused by God
during Noah's time, was a probationary period for His whole creation. These examples are
all to make sure we know, Jehovah is in control. How does this forty days and forty
nights, meaning probation, relate to us today? As the time Noah and his family were in the
Ark upon the waters for 'five months', the tribulation time of trial and temptation by
Satan is also to last 'five months', as written in Rev.9.
The phrase 'will I destroy' is the Hebrew word 'machah'
meaning 'to stroke or rub; by implication, to erase' (Strong's no. 4229). It
simply means to blot out, as in no longer exists. That is also the proper meaning of what
happens to those who go into the 'lake of fire' at the end of Christ's thousand
year reign on earth. They are simply 'erased', as if they never ever had any existence.
Gen
7:5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
This is why Noah was righteous in God's Eyes. He obeyed our Heavenly Father's commands,
and that is our work before us also today, being in Christ Jesus.
As the heathen around Noah at the time probably thought
the whole building of the Ark very silly, today many without an understanding in God's
Word, or a non-believer, will think our Holy Bible and following God to be outdated, or as
being 'old fashioned'. They treat following Him as foolishness. God used to be a 'force'
to them, and now even that false idea of theirs is wearing down. Gaia, or earth
worship, is replacing their old false ideas of God. Isn't their type of thinking silly?
Especially from groups who claim to be enlightened and super educated. Actually, it is
'sottish', a sign of rebellion against Jehovah and His Son Jesus Christ.
Gen
7:6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the
earth.
This 'flood of waters' during Noah's time is also a symbol for us today. Rev.12:15
mentions water 'as a flood' cast out of the serpent's mouth. That means a 'flood
of lies', since it comes out of Satan's (serpent) mouth.
Satan's flood of lies today make up the four dynasty
system of controls he is given over the whole earth. These are control over the economic
systems, educational systems, political systems, and religious systems. Isaiah 8 speaks of
the Assyrian who comes in with the 'waters of the river, strong and many'. The
joining of the multitude of nations, and the false controls, are mentioned there (see also
Isaiah 28; 59:19; Rev.17:15).
Gen
7:7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with
him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
As
God had prophesied to Noah about the waters of this flood coming, so likewise with the
flood of the end time today. Our Ark for today's flood by Satan, is God's Word - all of It.
Gen
7:8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls,
and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the
female, as God had commanded Noah.
Many seem to have a difficult time understanding how wild animals, who normally fear man
and won't draw near, could come to Noah and enter the Ark. Well who created those animals?
Wouldn't The Creator (YHVH) of those wild animals have power to make this happen? The
non-believer forgets that things seen in the flesh world were not created by the flesh
world, but by Jehovah and His Son. Science knows this basic concept of material matter,
for they know material matter cannot be destroyed. It can only change its state (liquid,
gas, solid, vapor, etc.). That is proof that this flesh age has an intelligent Creator,
not of that flesh matter, Who also formed the universe and all things in it. He is Spirit
and His Holy Name is Jehovah.
Gen
7:10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were
upon the earth.
These 'seven days' can be seen as a symbol for the tribulation of the
end time,
when Satan's lies are nearing full bloom.
Gen
7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month,
the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the
great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
This 'second month' is the Hebrew month Zif (May). Make a note of this 'start'
time of the flood of Noah's day. This will all be a metaphor for the actual beginning of
the tribulation event time. (We're using the Solar Calendar, which is a perfect Calendar;
not the Gregorian calendar).
Gen
7:12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
And
we have another reminder from our Father of a time of probation (i.e., 'forty...). (Just a
note: I can't help noticing the numbering of this Chapter "7" and verse
"12", especially after the info that was just given about the 'start time' of
the 'waters of the flood').
Gen
7:13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the
sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
These are eight Adamic (from 'eth'Ha'adham) people which entered the Ark. None of
these were mixed with the other races, nor with the Nephilim (fallen angels).
Gen
7:14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their
kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl
after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all
flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh,
as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
We
know that after God created all the races of mankind, and all His creation, He said 'it
was very good' (Gen.2:31). If you believe His Word, i.e., that God created mankind
including the various races, and also that it did not happen according to 'evolution'
theory, then the various races of man were included in the Ark, or... this flood did not
cover the whole earth. Each person must decide this for themselves. We also know from
God's Word later, that there was another mixing with the Nephilim (fallen angels)
after this time of Noah's flood. The giant named Goliath, which David slew, was one of
them.
Did you notice that The LORD Himself shut them in the Ark?
As many of these flood events of Noah's time are used to compare with the latter day
events, God closing Noah's ark and sealing it is a pointer to the sealing of His
latter day servants mentioned in The Book of Revelation:
Rev
7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the
living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to
hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, "Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees,
till we have sealed the servants of our God in their
foreheads."
Noah's flood is a symbol for Satan's flood of the end time
tribulation. Just as GOD closed
Noah's Ark and sealed it from the waters of the flood entering in, likewise He has
commanded that none of His today which He seals with His Truth are to be harmed.
Well if 'two of all flesh' came aboard Noah's Ark
along with Noah's family, meaning also two of every race of mankind, does that mean those
other races not of Noah's family were 'sealed' by God also? In Rev.7 after all the 144,000
representing the twelve tribes of Israel are sealed, we have this very next verse:
Rev
7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no
man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and
people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the
Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
These are the Gentile believers of Christ's future Kingdom, from all nations, kindreds,
and people, and tongues. And the number of them were so many, that no man could enumerate
(arithmeo, to count) them.
Back to Gen.7:
Gen
7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased,
and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the
earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high
hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were
covered.
These 'high hills' and the 'mountains' which were covered with waters
has another Message also. The 'high hills' are symbolic of the refuge of the
'wild goats', in nature, and for how Satan's own take refuge in the world with false
worship (Ps.104:18; Jer.17:2). Christ said when He returns He will separate His sheep from
the goats (Matt.25). And 'mountains' are symbolic in God's Word many times for
'powers' or 'kingdoms', as for God's Holy Mountain of Zion where He chose to dwell.
As these 'waters' of Noah's time represent the flood of
Satan's false kingdom today, the evil one hopes to establish his dominion upon God's
Mountain, in Jerusalem. So I hope you understand all these references here to the flood of
Noah's time. It is a blueprint for us today.
Gen
7:21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of
cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every
man:
Noah pleased God, obeying Him and not man, thus he and his family, who likewise had kept
themselves apart and pure from the Nephilim mixing, were spared...nay, saved from
this destruction. It must be remembered that many of those who refused God of that time
were also descendants of the Adamic bloodline. Gen.5:30 states that Lamech, the father of
Noah, also begat other sons and daughters after Noah's birth. So those were included in
this 'all flesh died that moved upon the earth'.
What does this all mean for today? Consider the following
Message to God's People through Jeremiah the prophet:
Jer
3:22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your
backslidings. Behold, we come unto Thee; for Thou art the LORD our God.
23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills,
and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD
our God is the salvation of Israel.
24 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth;
their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have
sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day,
and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
In
as much as Enoch, the seventh from Adam, was one of God's first prophets, he gave warning
to his kinsmen just before God took him out of that mess (Jude 1; Heb.11:5; Gen.5:24).
This whole time of the flesh age has been about how God's children disobey Him. And it
still applies to our time today with many who believe in Christ, yet having their minds
seared with a hot iron, who will fall, and be snared, and taken by false messiah (Isaiah
8). Even as our Lord Christ stated in Matthew 7:22-23, that many will say to Him upon His
return, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have
cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?" What will be our
Lord's answer to them? (see Matt.7:23). The other kinsfolk of Noah's family, who did not
obey God during that time, and perished in the 'flood' (Satan's lies), are a symbol for
those whom Christ will deny upon His coming. They will trust in the false rock, on a 'high
hill'.
Pre-millennialism,
post-millennialism, pre-tribulationalism,
preterism, responsibility truth, etc., all terminology which present
confusion when
trying to understand God's simple Word. Not that those terms have no meaning, but how can
the simple man understand through such theological methods? It's like making up a whole
bunch ideas and assigning a fad label or catchy name to it, and then advertise it like a
business slogan. How many different ways can God's Truth be? Are not these part of the
'waters of the flood' upon the believers in Christ today?
Gen
7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was
in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of
the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and
they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were
with him in the ark.
This Noah and his family of eight Adamic souls are the family lineage of Jesus Christ. As
The Mission of Jesus Christ being born of woman in the flesh, being totally without sin, a
Perfect Sacrificial Lamb, crucified upon the cross offering us The Way of Salvation, and
taking His Place on the Right Hand of our Father, and Noah obeying God's Commands, this
was the main reason why Noah and his family were preserved.
What about a future preservation through the flood which
issues out of Satan's mouth? Will we also obey God as Noah did, and not man? Each one of
us must ask, and answer ourselves in that matter. And today, we have forgiveness through
our repentance to Christ, believing on and staying in Him. How much easier our Lord has
made our 'yoke' today, compared to the time of Noah.
Gen
7:24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
The
actual time that the 'waters prevailed', which also represents the time of Satan's
'flood', is one hundred and fifty days, or 'five months':
Rev
9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the
earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have
not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but
that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was
as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
This tribulation of Satan is not going to destroy God's green earth. Our Father promised
in Gen.8:21-22 that "...neither will I again smite any more every
thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and
harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
So it is very important, to understand that this
tribulation is 'spiritual', it comes by deception, and is not necessarily physical. God's
'consuming fire' event will merely cleanse this ancient earth, and only destroy the evil
off of it (elements of 2 Peter 3).
Here's the other part of Rev.9 about this five month
tribulation by Satan:
Rev
9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their
tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the
bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek
tongue hath his name Apollyon.
This false 'king' who will set himself up during this five month tribulation, is 'Abaddon'
meaning 'a destroying angel', and in the Greek 'Apollyon', meaning 'a
destroyer (i.e. Satan)' (Strong's nos. 3 & 623).
The
next Chapter of Genesis 8 will continue the event of Noah's flood, and the meaning it has
for God's People today. We will even be given the time of year in which the last, or fifth
month of the tribulation occurs.
Peace be to you in Christ
Jesus,
Dave Ramey.
