Note:  All Scripture on Word Alpha Omega is taken from the King James Authorized Version of 1611, as contained within The Companion Bible, unless otherwise noted.

Italicized word examples in Scripture verse, as given on Word Alpha Omega, are not all in the Old and New Testament Manuscripts. These italicized words in Scripture are referenced from the King James Authorized Version of 1611 contained within The Companion Bible. Some of those words in italics added by the King James Version translators were necessary for language translation, some were not. When the King James text contains phrases or obvious additions which are not in The Manuscripts, and confuse the Manuscript meaning, they will be noted as often as possible using Hebrew and Greek Lexicons, such as a Strong's Concordance. For example: In Acts 12:4, the word 'Easter' written by the KJV translators, is 'pascha' in the Greek Manuscripts, which means 'Passover' (Strong's no. 3957). The word 'Easter' was used instead of passover by the KJV translators due to the Easter tradition carried over into Christianity around the 8th Century A.D. The Greek word pascha never means Easter. All other occurances of pascha in the Greek Manuscript Texts (28 times), were translated to passover by the KJV translators. Another example can be found with the phrase "Even him" as written in 2 Thessalonians 2:9. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance shows that phrase "Even him" as no. 9999, which means an inserted word or phrase within the King James Version Bible.
